CBSE CTET 2018: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised the eligibility criteria for CTET in its latest notifications.

The students who have qualified B.Ed are eligible to apply for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2018.

Those who have applied should note that candidates that have B.Ed qualification and have already applied for Paper–II and also paid fee must note that they can now apply for both Paper I and Paper II.

The correction period has also been increased. The CBSE CTET correction period will start from September 6, 2018, and will continue till September 15.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates who have scored 50 percent marks or more in graduation and B.Ed from any NCTE recognised institution shall now be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes 1 to 5.

For primary level: The candidates should be senior secondary with at least 45 to 50 percent marks or appearing in final year of two-year diploma in Elementary Education or Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Candidates appearing in final year of four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) are also eligible for the above post.

A candidate with DEd (Special Education) or qualification shall undergo an NCTE recognised six-month Special Programme in Elementary Education after the appointment.
