The Central Board of Secondary Education on Tuesday announced the Class 10 results and the social media was again abuzz with hilarious reactions.
This may be hard to believe for many, but four students have topped the Class 10 CBSE examinations this year. The overall pass percentage is 86.70.
Once again, it was girls who stole the show. Girls, with a pass percentage of 88.67, did quite better than the boys (pass percentage of 85.32).
The students who scored 499 marks out of 500 total marks and topped the exams are — Prakhar Mittal of DPS Gurgaon, Rimzhim Agarwal of RP Public School, Bijnor, Nandini Garg of Scottish International School, Shamli and Sreelakshmi G of Bhavan’s Vidyalaya, Kochi.
While four students topped the exams, seven students secured the second position with 498 marks and 14 students settled for the third spot with a score of 497.
Thiruvananthapuram, with pass percentage 99.60, is the top performing region, with Chennai (97.37) and Ajmer (91.86) finishing second and third spot, respectively.
As expected, as soon as the results were declared, reactions started coming in on the micro-blogging site Twitter. The Twitter users didn’t spare anyone, including the toppers, and tickled the funny bones of one and all.
