BSF Assistant Commandant Loveraj creates history, scales Everest 7th time

Uttarakhand’s ace mountaineer Lovraj Singh Dharamshaktu scaled the Mount Everest on Sunday and went on to become the first ever Indian to conquer the world highest peak for the seventh time.

Leading the Border Security Force (BSF) team to expedition, Loveraj reached the summit in the wee hours on Sunday.

Dharmshaktu is presently working as Assistant Commandant in BSF. Loveraj hails from Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand.

Dharmshaktu led a team of 25 people from the Border Security Force (BSF). He divided the team into two groups- one team scaled in the morning and the second is likely to reach the peak tonight, as per media reports.

BSF took Twitter lauding the effort of the team while adding that a second team will tonight to scale the world highest mountain tonight.

Mount Everest is the earth’s highest mountain above sea level, located in the Mahalangur Himal sub-range of the Himalayas. The current official elevation of the mountains is 8,848 m (29,029 ft).
