The BRS and the Bahujan Samaj party (BSP) have decided to form an alliance in Telangana for the upcoming Parliament elections.

The BRS and the Bahujan Samaj party (BSP) have decided to form an alliance in Telangana for the upcoming Parliament elections.

BRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao held a primary discussion with BSP state president RS Praveen Kumar at former’s residence in Banjara Hills today. The details of seat allotment between the two parties are yet to be announced.

“We have decided that BRS and BSP will fight the next Parliamentary elections together. We will decide tomorrow on how many seats to contest. I haven’t talked to Mayawati yet. I have only spoken to Praveen Kumar,” said Rao after the meeting. So far, the BRS has announced candidates for four seats out of 17.

The BRS has turned into a happy hunting ground for both the BJP and the Congress who have poached its leaders after the party lost the Assembly elections last year. IPS turned politician Praveen Kumar who had come third behind the BJP and the BRS in Sirpur constituency is expected to contest for MP seat this time. However, he came under fire for joining hands with the BRS since he was quite critical of KCR just three months back.
