Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday mockingly wrote a review of Bharatiya Janata Party’s manifesto for Karnataka polls and gave it only one star, while recommending people to ignore it.

In his tweet Rahul Gandhi said, ” New Book Review!. The BJP Karnataka Manifesto, inspired by Narendra Modi, is a poorly crafted fantasy built around a weak plot, that has nothing unique to offer voters.

“If you’ve read the Congress Manifesto, don’t waste your time on this one. Rating: 1/5 ⭐ Recommendation: Avoid, added Rahul Gandhi in his tweet.

Chief ministerial candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka BS Yeddyurappa released party’s manifesto for the 12 May polls and promised to re-introduce the Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Preservation Bill 2012.

Launching the party’s manifesto, Yeddyurappa asserted that party is committed towards welfare of farmers.

“Welfare of farmers has always been our priority. We will allocate Rs 1,50,000 crore for various irrigation projects in Karnataka and ensure water reaches to every field in the state,” Yeddyurappa said while addressing the media on the election manifesto.

The state is slated to go to polls on 12 May and the counting will take place on 15 May.

Earlier in the day, senior Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala termed Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) manifesto as ‘zero’ and said that it is a “Jumlafesto – a handbook of unabashed lies”.

Congress spokesperson Surjewala in a tweet said, “BJP’s Karnataka manifesto is a classic case of 0+0=0 (Copy of 2014 ModiFesto + 2018 Yeddy-Reddy Festo = 0).”

Surjewala further slammed the manifesto saying, “Taking a cue from Modiji, It’s a Jumlafesto- a handbook of unabashed lies”.

He said that there is no gravity in BJP’s promises, nor belief in their words. BJP is losing ground. #BJPVachana4Karnataka. (Translated from Hindi).
