Maharashtra BJP MLA Suresh Dhas who repeatedly made several statements seeking the resignation of Food and Civil Supplies Minister Dhananjay Munde, made a U-turn on Wednesday and even denied seeking his ouster after Ajit Pawar-led NCP’s MLC Amol Mitkari made several allegations against Dhas.
The U-turn and denial by BJP MLA has come after Mitkari said, “Suresh Dhas should not pretend to be innocent and soft-spoken. We are aware of several cases, from land scams to murder cases. At the right time, I will reveal the information about those cases to the attention of the people of Maharashtra. Right now, I will only say that two days before the murder of the late Santosh Deshmukh, there was a telephone conversation between Suresh Dhas and Valmik Karad”.
Mitkari has demanded that the police must access the call data record (CDR) of Suresh Dhas and interrogate him in the Massajog village sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh murder case.
Meanwhile, sources said that the Ajit Pawar-led NCP has devised a strategy to embarass, counter attack as well as checkmate Suresh Dhas who has been attacking Dhananjay Munde despite both the parties being part of the Mahayuti alliance presently ruling Maharashtra. The move to expose the scams and other cases in which BJP MLA is reportedly involved in has come after the NCP concluded that Dhas failed to stop attacking Munde despite being given an explanation by the BJP party leadership, sources said.
“I have already said that everyone is naked in the bathroom. If they (BJP MLA Suresh Dhas) do not listen to the BJP party leadership and do not follow the stand taken by the Mahayuti, then we will also have to expose their cases without any hesitation. We would like to know Who grabbed 485 acres of land worth 1421 crores of eight Hindu and two Muslim places of worship with the connivance of officials? How many people who came in the way of this case were buried in a bungalow at Ashti? Who took the lives of Ram Khade and Satish Shinde? We would love to answer all such questions,” Mitkari said, mocking the U-turn by BJP MLA Suresh Dhas.
