The five candidates, who have been fielded by the Bharatiya Janata Party from different seats in Delhi for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, on Saturday expressed confidence that they would win and also thanked the party’s top leadership for placing their trust in them.
The BJP has shortlisted Bansuri Swaraj as its candidate from New Delhi LS constituency, Kamaljeet Sehrawat from West Delhi, Praveen Khandelwal from Chandni Chowk, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri from South Delhi and Manoj Tiwari, sitting MP, the North-East Delhi seat.
On her candidature from New Delhi constituency, Bansuri Swaraj said that she was thankful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, party president JP Nadda and other leaders of BJP.
Talking further about the BJP government’s tenure she highlighted that the economy has now reached the fifth spot, and added that the people of the capital are smart and aware.
Swaraj was present at the Shakti Vandan program held at the Sanatan Dharm Mandir in New Delhi, which was organised in a bid to empower the self-help groups and NGOs and to make them a part of the VIksit Bharat pledge.
Reacting to the AAP’s comments over her candidature, she said that the party should first look into their camp and see whom they have chosen for the seat and also about his reputation amongst the own party.
Swaraj gave it back to them, saying that they have named a candidate who, she claimed, is not liked by his own party members, and added that the people will give a reply to all the allegations in the polls.
Kamaljeet Sehrawat has expressed that she will get support from the people as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has worked for everyone, which shows from the response of the people, while she thanked PM Modi, BJP president JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva.
BJP MP from North East Delhi, Manoj Tiwari, who will again contest from the seat has thanked PM Modi, BJP president JP Nadda, HM Amit Shah and other leaders of the party.
He further said that the target is to have a ‘Namo Hattrick,’ while he added that this time the party aims to increase their vote share with the blessings of people.
