Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Sunday, said that assistive devices could ensure that ‘Divyangjans’ (specially-abled people) lead a normal life.
Attending the Atal Health Fair – 3 ‘Seva hi Sarkar’ organised to coincide with the birth anniversary of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee here on Sunday, the CM interacted with the Divyangjans and distributed artificial limbs and tricycles, wheelchairs and other essential devices to them.
The Atal Health Fair is being held for the last three years. In the first fair, more than 7500 people, in the second, more than 10,500, and the current two-days fair thousands of people availed health benefits in the fair.
At the conclusion of the fair, the chief minister met the specially-abled children, distributed them essential equipment including blankets, tricycles, wheel chairs.
The CM said that the entire country is paying tributes to Lucknow’s pride Atal ji on his birth anniversary by remembering him. Today, the country has made progress in various fields. India is growing as a model of democracy and development under the leadership of PM in the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence.
On the occasion, Yogi informed that various events are to be held in Lucknow in the coming days. “The first event is going to be the global Investors summit in February 2023. We have to be ready to welcome thousands of entrepreneurs and investors. Through this, investment of lakhs of crores will come and lakhs of jobs will be created. Some events related to G-20 are also to be held in Lucknow. It is a matter of pride for every citizen to be associated with it,” he said.
The CM said that the double-engine government has set new benchmarks in the health sector. The work of One District, One Medical College is being done on a war footing. Work is going on to provide consultation and telemedicine facilities in villages where doctors are not available.
He congratulated the coordinator for organizing this program for the third consecutive year.
The convener of the fair, Neeraj Singh welcomed the chief minister by giving him a garment and a photo of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. During this, former Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma, Mayor Samyukta Bhatia, MLA Ashutosh Tandon ‘Gopal’, Yogesh Shukla, Neeraj Vora, BJP Metropolitan President and Legislative Council members Mukesh Sharma, Pawan Singh Chauhan, among other dignitaries remained present.
