Anupam Kher appointed FTII chairperson

Veteran actor Anupam Kher has been appointed as the chairperson of the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).

The actor has replaced Gajendra Chauhan, who was appointed as the chairperson in 2015. Kher, who is regarded as one of the finest actors of Bollywood, was appointed as the chairperson on Wednesday.

It is yet to know when the Raanchi Diaries actor will officially take charge of FTII.

Kher has been in the industry for more than three decades now and is widely known for his versatile roles in films like Saraansh, Karma, Tezaab, Daddy, Kya Kehna, Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Mara, A Wednesday, Silver Linings Playbook, Baby and The Big Sick.
