Amit Shah confirms attendance at BJP rally

Union home minister Amit Shah will arrive in Kolkata on an Indian Air Force plane on the morning of 29 November to attend the BJP rally at Victoria House. A Bharatiya Janata Party source said Shah will take a special flight from Delhi and reach Kolkata NSCBI International Airport exactly at 1pm.

From there, he will proceed to the Royal Calcutta Turf Club by helicopter. After that, he will travel by car to attend the party’s rally at Victoria House near Esplanade. The rally is scheduled for 2pm. Shah plans to spend 15 minutes to 3 hours at the protest meeting in Esplanade before returning to Delhi in the evening at 6pm.

The permission for the BJP rally has come from the Calcutta High Court. Amit Shah’s schedule for the day has already been disclosed. He will enter Kolkata airport at 3.40pm and depart for Delhi at 3.45pm and is expected to reach Delhi by 6pm. The rally in Esplanade has faced challenges, but despite legal battles, the party has been preparing for the event for several days.
