Ahead of Global Jat Mahakumbh, Gehlot sets up ‘Veer Tejaji Welfare Board’ in Rajasthan

Ahead of the global Jat Mahakumbh conclave slated here on March 5 and assembly polls in December 2023, the Government of Rajasthan on Thursday set up an ambitious ‘Veer Tejaji Welfare Board’ with its Chairman, Vice Chairmen and seven members on board.
The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment has issued an order for the formation of the Board to take stock of the condition of the farming community, and suggest measures to remove the backwardness of the farming community on the basis of certified survey reports.
CM Ashok Gehlot gave a political message to the farmer castes by forming the Veer Teja Welfare Board in the election year in the state when assembly polls are just 9 months away.
Jat leaders including former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot and Present PCC President Govind Singh Dotasara have been demanding for the formation of Veer Teja Welfare Board for a long time, orders for the formation of the board before the Jat Mahakumbh on March 5

Cutting across the party lines, the Jat community has  organized a meeting at Vidyadhar Nagar Stadium in the name of Jat Mahakumbh in Jaipur. Among the demands of Jat Mahakumbh, along with caste census, there was also a demand to form the Veer Tejaji Welfare Board.

Veer Teja or Satyavadi Veer Tejaji is a Rajasthani folk deity. Its history says that Kanwar Tejaji ji is considered to be the eleventh incarnation of Lord Shiva and he was born in Dholiya gotra of Nagvanshiya Jata.He is considered one of the major eleven incarnations of Shiva and is worshiped as a deity in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana etc.
