Days after senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Ashutosh tendered his resignation, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party may have to deal with another jolt. Prominent leader of the party, Ashish Khetan said on Wednesday he was not involved in active politics for now.
Reacting to reports that AAP leader Khetan has quit party, the leader said he was focusing on his legal practice and not involved in active politics “at the moment”.
“I am completely focused on my legal practice and not involved in active politics at the moment. Rest is all extrapolation,” he tweeted.

In another tweet, he said, “I had resigned from DDC in April, to join the legal profession. That is all. Not interested in rumours.”

Journalist-turned-politician Khetan had quit as the vice-chairman of the Delhi Dialogue and Development Commission (DDC), an advisory body of the Delhi government, in April saying he was joining the legal profession.
Khetan, who had joined the party in 2014, had contested the general elections from New Delhi. He lost to Bharatiya Janata Party’s Meenakshi Lekhi.
Another senior leader Ashutosh submitted his resignation on 15 August citing personal reasons. While efforts are on to convince Ashutosh, it has been reported that Ashutosh will not withdraw his resignation.
