Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar’s Saand Ki Aankh revolves around the story of Chandro Tomar and her sister-in-law Prakashi Tomar from Uttar Pradesh.

Bhumi plays Prakashi Tomar and Taapsee enacts the role of Chandro Tomar. Having learnt shooting at 60, both go on to win more than 700 medals at the state and national level championships. Both are referred to as Shooter Dadi and Revolver Dadi.

Saand Ki Aankh follows the story of the veteran two and follows their life’s journey from their late teenage to when they become shooters, around 60’s.

The film’s shooting wrapped up quite some time ago and the post production work is on. Taapsee Panu and Bhumi Pednekar have been sharing glimpses and posts from the film’s shoot on social media.

Recently, Bhumi shared a photo of herself from the film with a caption that read, “‘17 pe ho gai shaadi, 18 tak aa gai munni pyaari, Phir toh silsila chalta raha, Jab tak humnien uthai bandook aur maar di #SaandKiAankh #Bullseye @shooterdadiofficial #ChandroTomar.”

Taapsee too shared a series of photographs from the film’s set giving an insight into the two women’s characters and the prep work they did around the film’s shooting.

Anurag Kashyap has produced the film while Tushar Hiranandani has directed it. Saand Ki Aankh is slated to release this Diwali.
