On the occasion of World Mathematics Day, the makers of Shakuntala Devi – Human computer has released a motion poster featuring Vidya Balan.
In the film, Vidya will be essaying the role of “human computer” and maths genius Shakuntala Devi. The tagline of the motion poster also says that she made maths a means of having fun.
On Tuesday, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to official Twitter handle to share the motion poster of the film. Alongside the picture, he wrote, “Vidya Balan as #ShakuntalaDevi… Based on the life of the mathematical genius, the ‘human computer’ – Shakuntala Devi… Costars Sanya Malhotra… Directed by Anu Menon… Summer 2020 release (sic).”

The shooting of the film has already started in London. The motion poster introduces Vidya, striking a pose in a bright yellow and green sari.
Set for a summer 2020 release, the film is to be directed by Anu Menon of London, Paris, New York and Four More Shots Please! fame, and produced by Vikram Malhotra, Sony Pictures Networks Productions and Abundantia Entertainment.
