Actor Vijay Varma established himself in Bollywood with his performance in Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy.

In the Zoya Akhtar directorial, the FTII graduate played the role of Moeen bhai, Ranveer’s friend who is also a full-time garage boy, a part-time drug peddler and car thief.

Vijay who came into the limelight for his understated performance in Pink will be seen in a short cameo role in Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming film, Super 30. For Vijay, who has also featured in films like Monsoon Shootout, Pink and Rangrezz, the story of Super 30 was a big pull.

When the makers approached Vijay to do a cameo in Super 30, he was very ecstatic to be part of the film because of the cast of the film which included Hrithik Roshan and Pankaj Tripathi. Vijay has been an admirer of Hrithik and has loved his work over the years.

About his role, Vijay said, “While I can’t say much about the part, what I can tell is what when I heard the story of super 30 and about Anand sir who literally changed so many lives I knew I wanted to be a part of this story.”

Super 30 is based on the real-life story of mathematics genius Anand Kumar who coaches economically backward students for IIT-JEE in Bihar every year.

Anand is portrayed by Hrithik in the movie, which also stars Mrunal Thakur in a key role.

The film is produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Reliance Entertainment.
