Veere Di Wedding, which stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania, hit the screen on Friday (June 1). The film received a lot of praises and has become the third highest Bollywood grosser in the opening weekend in 2018.
Social media is full of kind words over the performance of the actors. However, there are many on Twitter who are not pleased with women using cuss words and discussing sex openly in the film. They are criticising the actors and the filmmakers.

Swara Bhasker, who played the role of Sakshi Soni, had many bold dialogues and she is being trolled for a particular scene. One of the Twitter users posted that the dialogue embarrassed her as she had went to watch the film with her grandfather.

However, Swara who always speaks up was not in a mood to sit silent and gave an apt reply to the trolls. She took to her Twitter handle and wrote, “Looks like a certain IT cell sponsored the tickets – or definitely the tweets.”

Veere Di Wedding is produced by Rhea Kapoor and directed by Shashanka Ghosh and the film had collected Rs 20 crore at the box office till Saturday.
