Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike has been running successfully at the box office since its release. The film has received acclaim from all quarters and is immensely benefitting from word of mouth publicity too. The makers of the film are also trying their best to prevent it from getting illegally leaked online.

In a unique step taken as part of their anti-piracy efforts, the makers of Uri themselves released a version of the film online for download. And those who fell into the trap ended up downloading a 3.8 GB video only to realise that it was a not the actual film but a version exclusively shot for the likes of them.

The clip opens with a scene that appeared to be from the film, in which the cast can be seen discussing the surgical strike plan. Soon, actors Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam take to the camera and face the viewers, telling them how they just carried out a ‘surgical strike’ on people who opt to watch pirated films.

Here is the video.
