Aspiring Telugu actress Sri Reddy has gone to the extreme to raise voice against casting couch in the industry. On Saturday morning, the actress stripped naked in front of the  Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. Sri Reddy alleged that she has been sexually assaulted by many producers and directors of the film industry. She claimed that even after applying for membership in the Movie Artists Association (MAA), her application has not been accepted even as she has acted in many films and produced three films.

“They see the videos and give no roles. They have even asked for live nude videos from me. That is the extent to which they go to take advantage of women who seek roles,” TOI quotes the actress.

Sri Reddy also spoke about her membership and said, “For how long they will delay membership to me? Now that a girl has removed her clothes and stood on the road, will those people feel ashamed for their acts?” she said.

What if they don’t give her membership even now?? “Next time, I will once again go cloth-less in a similar fashion until they give me a membership,” reports Gulte.

The actress arrived in salwar kameez to the Chamber of Commerce in Jubilee Hills and stripped in front of the cameras. She says,  “This is the only way I can think of expressing my grief. If I have shown myself nude to several people in the film industry and despite that have got no roles, the only way I can protest is by going nude publicly.”

Sri Reddy also accused the producers of exploiting aspiring actresses and said, “They give roles to actresses imported from Mumbai or others places, whereas we local girls are only sexually exploited on the promise of being given roles.”
