Super 30 remains strong at the box office on Day 5. After crossing Rs. 50 crores at the box office in the opening weekend, the film is doing decent business.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the film’s business on social media. The Hrithik Roshan starrer is doing good business in metropolitans as compared to the mass circuits.
Despite apprehensions from all quarters that the film’s business will decline as the buzz around The Lion King gathers momentum, Super 30 is performing well at the box office.
Anand Kumar, the Patna based mathematician on whose life the film is modelled, announced on Tuesday that the film had been declared tax free in Bihar.
The film’s box office collection overseas has also reached the $2.497 million mark in the first four days. Super 30′s total domestic business stands at Rs. 64.07 crores.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, Kabir Singh which is in its 4th week, still continues to run across cinemas and has now amassed a collection of about Rs. 263.19 crores.
Super 30 is based on a Super 30 program run by Anand Kumar in Bihar where he teaches 30 underprivileged kids for free and helps them train to crack the IIT entrance exam every year.The film also starrs Mrunal Thakur, Aditya Shrivastava, Pankaj Tripathi and Amit Sadh is key roles.
Kabir Singh is a Hindi remake of the Telugu hit, Arjun Reddy, written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The film has broken box office records of all major Hindi films and has become the highest grosser of 2019.
Both films continue to do well as the much hyped The Lion King makes an entry in the Indian market.
