Sony Picture International Productions has now forayed into Telugu Cinema with its first film, Major, co-produced by Mahesh Babu.

Unnikrishnan was awarded the Ashok Chakra posthumously on January 26, 2009.
The film will be shot in both Hindi and Telugu.
