Amitabh Bachchan began his career in the ’70s, first as a narrator in Mrinal Sen’s National Award-winning film Bhuvan Shome (1969).

On the occasion of Amitabh Bachchan’s 77th birthday, Shweta Nanda Bachchan, his daughter shared a beautiful picture of herself along with her father Amitabh Bachchan.

In the picture, Bachchan is seen sitting and Shweta is standing behind him holding his hand. She captioned the image, “When you get to the top of the mountain, keep climbing- Happy Birthday Papa I love you endlessly (sic).”

Shweta is very fond of the megastar and keeps posting pictures of him on social media and expressing her love for her father.

Amitabh Bachchan’s first acting role came with Khwaja Ahmad Abbas’ directorial Saat Hindustani, but it was, in fact, Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s Anand (1971) that earned him fame and a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Bachchan has appeared in over 190 Indian films in a career spanning across five decades. The count is still on with Shootjit Sircar’s Gulabo Sitabo alongside Ayushmann Khurrana.
