After Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif stepped down from Remo D’Souza’s untitled dance film, the search for the lead actress opposite Varun Dhawan became a major task for the makers. Many names like Sara Ali Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon were doing the rounds for the role.
On Monday morning, Varun took to his social media account and confirmed the name of the female lead of the film – Shraddha Kapoor. He also shared a picture with her and captioned it as, “@ShraddhaKapoor chirkut bahut maazaayengaa #3iscoming.”

Shraddha confirmed the news to Mumbai Mirror saying, “I’m excited to reunite with Remo sir, Prabhudehva sir, and Varun after ABCD 2. This was made possible by Bhushanji (producer Bhushan Kumar) who brought us back and believed in this amazing story. It is going to be a lot of hard work for everyone involved but we are all pumped up.”
The film will go on floors on 22 January and the first schedule will be shot in Amritsar. Some portions of the film will be shot in London and Mumbai. The makers might lock 8 November 2019 as the release date of the film.
