Shahid Kapoor’s sister Sanah Kapur, who made her debut back in 2015 with Shaandaar, has bagged a role in Abhishek Saxena’s upcoming project. The film, Saroj Ka Rishta, focuses on the issue of body shaming in India.
“It is about a fat girl, who is very happy with herself and her life, but people around her have issues with her weight,” Abhishek Saxena said in an interview to The Indian Express.
The shooting of the romantic comedy will begin in August across Ghaziabad and Mawana. Kumud Mishra will be playing Sanah’s father and the film will also have a love triangle, with Randeep Rai and Gaurav Pandey playing the two men in Saroj’s life.
Abhishek said being a fat person he had realised that body-shaming was not only limited to fat people but happened to thin people too.
Sanah is Shahid Kapoor’s sister and daughter of Pankaj Kapoor and Supriya Pathak. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his social media handles and shared the announcement of the film.
