While Simmba is roaring at the Box Office, actor Sonu Sood, who is playing the antagonist in the film, wrote an emotional letter for his late parents.
The 45-year-old is going through a bittersweet phase because he wishes his parents could witness the accomplishment.
On 11 January, Sood took to Instagram to share the heartfelt note and captioned the post, “Miss u Mom n Dad.”
The Dabbang actor lost his father, Shakti Sagar Sood, on February 7, 2106. He died of cardiac arrest at their residence in Moga, Punjab. Sood’s mother, Saroj Sood, passed away 10 years ago.

The actor began the note by writing how he wishes to get a congratulatory call from his parents.
“Today when I sit & attend congratulatory calls from so many people on the success of my new movie, there is one call I miss the most… a call from u both,” the post read.
Remembering his days of struggle Sonu Sood writes, “In the initial years when I was trying to learn the craft, I remember your motivational calls and those inspiring letters, which I still have with me. Time flew too fast. Success came, but for whom I worked so hard for so many years, couldn’t enjoy it. Sometimes I feel like I failed as a son.”
“Sometimes I wish, I could have made this happen faster. I am sorry mom and dad. I miss you every day when I succeed. I miss you every day when I fail. I will still work hard to make you proud. Stay happy wherever you are and I know you are making things happen for me the way they are happening for me now,” he concludes.
Meanwhile, the Sonu Sood starrer has witnessed a huge growth at the Box office and minted Rs 215 crores in three weeks.
