Deepika Padukone will leave you awestruck with her exceptional dance skills in the first song of upcoming movie Padmavati. Titled Ghoomar, the song showcases cultural dance form of Rajasthan, and the pretty damsel of Bollywood is seen in a traditional lehenga choli paired up with heavy silver ornaments.

The song is a perfect definition of Rajput culture and traditions. It showcases Deepika performing on Maharaja Rawal Ratan Singh’s (Shahid Kapoor) homecoming.

Every bit in her moves, outfit and appearance is regal. Although the actress’s entrance is not new to us as we have seen her pan shots in ethnics earlier too, but what marks a difference is the dance form and those admirable expressions.

With a heavy outfit like that and loaded with so much jewellery from head to toe, we definitely understand how hard it would have been to shoot for the song. But Deepika has left no stone unturned in pulling it off so magnificently.

The set looks royal with hundreds of onlookers, and so does our leading actor Shahid Kapoor who plays a ruler in the film. He stands there looking at his lady love with fondness. Ranveer Singh has gone missing from this one.

The song has been released on Twitter by T-series: A tribute to the land of culture & traditions, Rajasthan.

The film had become the talk of the town right from the moment it was announced. The trailer of the film broke many records and went on to becoming the most viewed Bollywood trailer within just one day.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is not only directed the movie but has composed music of the film as well, is making sure that they live up to the expectations of fans.

Shahid Kapoor had earlier posted a picture on his Instagram account and captioned the photo “Ranisa”.

With actor Shahid Kapoor as Maharawal Ratan Singh mouthing dialogues praising the Rajputs and actress Deepika Padukone as Rajput queen Padmavati emphasising on the strength of Rajputi bangles, the trailer of the film was mostly about the Hindu warriors.

Ranveer Singh, known for his high energy, looked and feels menacing as the aggressive tyrant emperor, Alauddin Khilji, who leads an army to wage a war against the Rajputs.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavati will be out on December 1 to tell the tale of the valour and heroism of the Rajputs.
