Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat is unstoppable at the box office. It has solidified its place among the highest Hindi grossing films of all time.

Bhansali’s magnum opus, which was released amidst protests and controversies by Karni Sena, is going strong in the second week and has crossed the Rs 225-crore mark on Wednesday (February 7).

As per Taran Adarsh’s Instagram post, the film collected Rs 6-crore on February 7, taking the total domestic figures of the film to Rs 225.50-crore.

Where many films lose their charm in the second week, Padmaavat is going strong and if the film continues its dream run at this pace then it just might make it to the Rs 250-crore club.

But crossing the Rs 250-crore mark seems a little difficult for the film with two big releases ahead in the coming two weeks.

Nonetheless, it is a proud worthy moment for the team of Padmaavat as Bhansali along with actors Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor have scored their first Rs200-crore film.

The lead actor, Deepika Padukone, has also many reasons to celebrate the film’s success. Interestingly, Padmaavat is Deepika’s seventh Rs 100-crore film and second Rs 200-crore film.

Presented by Viacom 18 and SLB productions, Padmaavat was released worldwide in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D on January 25.
