Padmaavat‘s box office collection is rewriting history and raising the bar for other films. The film has concluded its fourth week on a splendid note.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus, starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles has emerged out to be the biggest hit of 2018.
Padmaavat collected Rs 1.25-crore on February 22, taking the total collections of the film to Rs 281.85-crore.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the official figures on his Instagram account.

After a hard-fought battle and amid all the controversies, the film has emerged as a true winner and now ranks among the highest grossing Hindi films.
The film, which was released on January 25, had a solo release but eventually had to face Pad Man and Aiyaary among other releases at the box office. But that didn’t affect the film’s standing at the ticket counters as Padmaavat fared way better than Pad Man and Aiyaary in its third and fourth week.
According to reports, besides having an exceptional run at the box office, the film did lose an approximate figure of Rs 50-crore for not being released in some states and Karni Sena’s protests.
If that would not have been the case, Padmaavat would have crossed the Rs 300-crore mark and would have placed itself among the selected few films in the elite club.
Nonetheless, after completing four successful weeks at the box office, the film is now inching close to Rs 300-crore mark, which would be a glorious moment for the entire team as they have been through a lot.
Padmaavat was released worldwide on January 25 in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.
