Akshay Kumar’s Pad Man has shown growth on day 6 by collecting Rs 7.05-crore at the box office.
Pad Man, based on the subject of women menstruation, has been not so impressive in terms of figures despite the anticipation and various promotional strategies. But the film is showing improvement and is finally picking up ahead of weekend 2.
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film collected Rs.7.05-crore on February 9, taking the total collections of the film to Rs 59.09-crore.
The film’s collection dropped marginally on the first Monday and then again on Tuesday. But the film’s Wednesday collection has given the film a much needed push at the box office.
Considering the fact that the film stars Akshay in the lead, the day wise collection of the film has not turned out to be as per the expectations of fans and trade pundits.
Now, it’ll be interesting to see that whether Pad Man becomes Akshay’s eighth consecutive film to cross the Rs 100-crore mark at the box office.
Directed by R Balki, Pad Man, starring Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor, was released worldwide on February 9.
