Last time, when we read Akshay Kumar and Mallika Dua’s names in the same sentence, it wasn’t for any good reasons.  During their feud on Twitter on an incident that took place on ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ show, both the celebs slammed each other.

It got uglier when Mallika Dua’s father, Vinod Dua, a journalist and Akshay Kumar’s wife and author Twinkle Khanna got involved in the issue. Vinod Dua wrote on Twitter, “I am going to screw this cretin Akshay Kumar for telling his co-worker Mallika Dua that ‘aap bell bajaomain monkey ko bajata hun’ at 5:26. This is his sense of humour and language. Star Plus. Wake up.”

After Twinkle Khanna clarified the matter on Twitter everything seemed to be normal until the comedian mocked the #PadMan Challenge initiated as a promotional step for Akshay Kumar’s film.

Mallika posted a trail of an Instagram story regarding the Pad Man Challenge. Look what she has to say: “Always remember. Each time you feel weak, each time you feel lesser than your equals, each time you feel you’ve been made to feel lesser for no reason and that the fight has just about begun, when you feel society and the govt have not given you your due, hold up a sanitary pad and post a picture of it on Instagram. You will feel empowered. So empowered. Bye.”

The #PadMan challenge was announced by Arunachalam Muruganantham, the real-life hero on whom the story of the film is based on. He took to Twitter and later the whole film fraternity accepted the challenge. Stars like Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and others completed the challenge and joined in to show their support.
