Late singer George Michael has been buried in a cemetery where the general public will not be allowed to visit his grave.

Michael passed away at the age of 53 on Christmas Day last year.

Michael's funeral on Wednesday was kept secret to avoid fans attending in large numbers. The plot will be kept private forever, reports mirror.co.uk.

Michael has been buried in the West Side of Highgate cemetery, which is only accessible on guided tours.

The cemetery has updated the tour details on its website to reveal they will not include Michael's final resting place.

"George Michael's grave is not visited on the tour," read a statement on the website's official website.

This means that the general public will never see Michael's final resting place as it is behind brick walls and hidden among dense trees.
