Mouni Roy is no longer part of the Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer Bole Chudiya. The film’s poster was launched a few days ago. The producer of the film Rajesh Bhatia confirmed the news.
While the producer claimed the reason the Naagin fame actor is no longer part of the project was because of her “unprofessional behaviour”, the actor’s spokesperson on the contrary, said the contract wasn’t signed due to “discrepancies”.
In a statement issued on Friday, Bhatia said, “From the time we have signed her, she and her agency have been highly unprofessional and irresponsible, even after signing the MoU and paying her.”
“Even for the final narration held two days back, she walked in at 5.30 p.m. for a 3 p.m. narration, embarrassing the producers, director and actor.”
Produced under the banner Woodpecker Movies by Rajesh Bhatia and Kiran Bhatia, Bole Chudiya marks the directorial debut of Shamas Nawab Siddiqui, younger brother of Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
Mouni Roy’s spokesperson confirmed for Mouni Roy that she was no longer part of the film, according to IANS.
“Mouni has done many films before and has had a successful career, where everyone has vouched for her professionalism. Mr. Rajesh Bhatia… is now claiming that Mouni is not a professional, whereas there are several emails and text messages proving otherwise. Even the contract isn’t signed because of the discrepancies in it, ” quoted IANS.
The film was supposed to go on floors next month.
