Actor and former Rajya Sabha MP Mithun Chakraborty was hospitalized at an Apollo emergency facility in Kolkata due to chest discomfort.
Some of the media reports indicate that he was admitted on Saturday following this discomfort, raising concerns among both his fans and relatives. Although his relatives have not made any official statements regarding his condition, the 73-year-old actor’s health remains a focal point of concern.
Chakraborty, who currently serves as a judge on Dance Bangla Dance, was recently honored with the prestigious Padma Bhushan in January. His emotional reaction to receiving this esteemed award highlighted his disbelief and gratitude.
Besides receiving the Padma Bhushan, Mithun Chakraborty has been honored with three National Film Awards for his outstanding performances.
His career commenced with the 1976 film “Mrigayaa,” which earned him his inaugural National Film Award for Best Actor. Notably, his portrayal of Jimmy in the 1982 hit “Disco Dancer” propelled him to immense popularity, achieving significant success both in India and the Soviet Union.
