After the massive success of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi, the actor announced his 26th film Sarileru Neekevvaru on the occasion of the birthday of his father and Telugu film industry icon, Krishna.

The title which roughly translates to “nobody can match you”, was unveiled via a special poster which Mahesh Babu shared on his Twitter page.

The project, to be produced by Dil Raju and AK Entertainments, marks the maiden collaboration of Mahesh and Ravipudi.

After all the hard work that went into the making of the film, Maharshi, Mahesh seems to be taking some time off. He has been sharing many photographs of his holiday in London with family.

Upon the Bharat Ane Nenu actor’s return to India, he is expected to commence work on the film in which he is rumoured to be playing a soldier.

After playing a political leader in Bharat Ane Nenu, champion of civil rights (farmers in particular) in Maharshi, and now a soldier in Sarileru Neekevvaru, Mahesh Babu’s film choices are indicating an interesting transition.

In the poster apart from the title, there is a rifle and what appears to be a soldier’s hat. The film’s release date is also mentioned.

Sarileru Neekevvaru is expected to hit screens next year during the Sankranthi festival. The rest of the film’s crew and cast are yet to be announced.

Rashmika Mandanna is expected to play the leading lady, according to reports. While, Anil Ravipudi is helming the project.
