Actor Aamir Khan celebrated Maharashtra Day along with wife Kiran Rao in the state’s Satara district. The veteran actor was seen doing “shramdaan” (voluntary labour) in Koregaon taluka accompanied by thousands of Jalamitras who came forward to help Aamir and his non-profitable organisation, Paani Foundation.
Early in the morning, Khan and Rao were seen in Chilewadi where they received a warm welcome from the villagers. Khan later headed to the Koregaon location and started carrying out shramdaan along with many volunteers from the village.
The actor posted pictures on social media from his trip to Zhawadarjun village where he had stopped by on Tuesday for “the best ganney-ka-juice” . Khan shared pictures of him and Rao at a local dhaba enjoying bhel puri and sugarcane juice.
He will be visiting multiple districts around Satara. Amir and his Paani Foundation carry out shramdaan every year on International Labour Day and Maharashtra Day.
On the film front, he is currently working on a remake of Forrest Gump, titled Lal Singh Chadda.
After this upcoming project was announced, his fans’ excitement hit the roof as the actor is known to aptly mould himself into the character and is one star that is equally loved for his acting skills as his off-screen persona.
