Koena Mitra accuses Sonam Kapoor of giving ‘communal twist’ to Kathua rape case

Bollywood has joined in to express dismay at the Kathua rape-murder incident involving a minor girl. Among all the actors, Sonam Kapoor too tweeted about the crime. Now, actress Koena Mitra has slammed the actress, accusing her of giving it a communal twist.

Sonam Kapoor condemned the incident and expressed disgust, saying: “Ashamed appalled and disgusted by fake nationals and fake Hindus. I cannot believe this is happening in my country.”

Taking a dig at the actress, Keona Mitra has now questioned her take on the rape case. Here is what Mitra has to say about it: “Any comments @sonamakapoor? You condemned a heinous crime(I appreciate) but gave it a communal twist Fake Hindus. Kindly do the same for all. How can you blame an entire religion for this Rape? These victims are ours too! #justiceForAll.” Koena also posted the screenshots of other rape cases across the nation.

The film fraternity has been raising voice in support of justice for the victims. Celebrities such as Javed Akhtar, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, Farhan Akhtar took to social media to condemn the gut-wrenching incidents.

The 8-year-old girl’s body was recovered from Rassana forest in Kathua district of Jammu on 17 January, a week after she went missing while grazing horses in the forest area. She was held captive inside a temple and was sedated before being raped and murdered.
