Pop sensation Katy Perry has finally spilled the beans on why she seemed a bit disoriented during King Charles’ coronation last May. The singer, known for her hit “Firework,” caused quite a stir when she arrived at Westminster Abbey in a flamboyant ensemble, only to be caught on camera looking a tad lost amidst the crowd of 2,200 guests.

During her recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Perry couldn’t help but cringe when confronted with the viral video of her bewildered expression. “Oh no,” she exclaimed, sinking her face into her hands. “I was looking for my seat,” Perry confessed, shedding light on the confusion. Surprisingly, there was no assigned seating, turning the prestigious event into what she described as a “kind of” general admission affair. Only the lucky few in the front rows had reserved spots, mainly reserved for members of the royal family.

Kimmel, clearly taken aback, quipped about the unconventional seating arrangement, to which Perry nodded in agreement. And her iconic fascinator? Not exactly a crowd-pleaser for those sitting behind her. “I could barely see out of that hat, honestly,” she admitted with a chuckle.

Despite the initial chaos, Perry managed to locate her seat eventually, assuring her concerned fans with a tweet after the event. But her involvement didn’t end there. The following day, she took the stage at Charles’ Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle, sharing the spotlight with her fellow “American Idol” judge Lionel Richie. Both artists have ties to the king’s charitable endeavors, with Perry serving as an ambassador for The British Asian Trust, one of Charles’ philanthropic ventures, and Richie collaborating with the Prince’s Trust, another charity close to the king’s heart.

So, while Katy Perry may have had a brief moment of confusion at the coronation, her dedication to supporting causes championed by the king remains unwavering. And with her unmistakable flair, she continues to shine both on and off the stage.
