Kabir Singh has broken all box office records. After having crossed the Rs 200 crore mark in two weeks the Shahid Kapoor starrer has become the highest grossing film of 2019, surpassing this year’s biggest release Uri: The Surgical Strike and Bharat.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the films’ business and news on social media.
As on 11 July 2019, the film inches closer to the Rs 250 crore mark. In the third week since its release, the film collected Rs. 5.40 crores on Friday, Rs. 7.51 crores on Saturday, Rs. 9.61 crores on Sunday, Rs. 4.25 crores on Monday, Tuesday- Rs. 3.20 crores and Wednesday- Rs.3.11 crores taking the total collection to Rs. 246.28 crores.
Kabir Singh has performed extremely well in mass circuits and single screens across the country, not just the multiplexes in cities.
The film is a Hindi remake of Telugu hit, Arjun Reddy, and is written and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in lead roles, Kabir Singh released on 21 June 2019.
