Director JP Dutta, who is considered one of the best story tellers in Hindi film industry, is back on the silver screen with his upcoming epic war drama titled Paltan.
The film, which stars an ensemble cast, is based on the Sino-Indian war of 1967 and has put rest to rumours of the film being based on the 1962 Indo-China war.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the release date of the film on his Instagram account by sharing the first official poster of the film.
The film traces India’s victory against China in the Nathu La and Cho La military clashes of 1967, that took place along the Sikkim border.

JP Dutta, who is popular for his patriotic films like Border, LOC Kargil and Refugee, is making a comeback to the big screen after more than 10 years with Paltan.
Paltan, starring Sonu Sood, Arjun Rampal, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Harshvardhan Rane Gurmeet Choudhary, Siddhant Kapoor and Luv Sinha, is all scheduled to release on September 7, 2018.
