Satyameva Jayate starring John Abraham and Aisha Sharma got an amazing start at the box office as it grossed Rs 20.52 crore on Day One. The film also stars Manoj Bajpayee and was released on Independence Day (August 15).
Despite its clash with Akshay Kumar-starrer Gold, Satyameva Jayate has managed to do well.

Satyameva Jayate marks as the debut film of Neha Sharma’s sister Aisha Sharma. Satyameva Jayate has surpassed the expectations of all trade analysts.
However, Taran Adarsh said both the films did well at the box office. “The BIG HOLIDAY [#IndependenceDay] results in BIG NUMBERS at the BO… Both, #Gold and #SatyamevaJayate have TERRIFIC Day 1… Both, Akshay and John record their HIGHEST *Day 1* biz… The *combined* total is approx Rs 45 cr [+/-], which is HUMONGOUS… Yesss, BO is on (fire),” he said in a tweet.
