Ahead of Sidharth Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra’s much-awaited release Jabariya Jodi, makers shared a new sad-romantic track from the album of the film.Titled “Khwabfaroshi”, the song has been sung and composed by Sachet Tandon and Parampara Thakur.

Parineeti and Sidharth, both shared the song on social media. Parineeti wrote, “The soul-stirring anthem for broken hearts is out! #Khwabfaroshi song out now.”

“An anthem of love, heartbreak & agony. #Khwabfaroshi song out now!! ” Sidharth, who plays a Bihari thug in the film, shared on his official Twitter handle.

The song follows a similar tone and pattern like “Bekhayali” from Kabir Singh, in which the musician duo had also composed songs.

“Khwabfaroshi” follows the lead pair of the film, where Parineeti and Sidharth are seen in a pensive mood as their romance turns sour for some time in the film. There is lots of colour and use of montage in the track.

Jabariya Jodi is based on a real-life phenomena of “Pakadwa Shadi” or “Jabran Shadi” in parts of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh where the tradition of groom kidnapping and forced marriages to avoid paying heavy dowry is prevalent. Inspired from the state of affairs there, the film addresses the issue in a rather comic way.

Directed by Prashant Singh and Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Shailesh R Singh, the film is slated to release on 9 August 2019.
