Bollywood’s latest offering Ittefaq, which promises a non-stop 100 minutes of suspense, opened on a decent note at the box office. The film minted Rs.16.05 crore at the box office in the opening weekend.

The film, which stars Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead, is a reboot of the original film that was released in 1969. The original film starred superstar Rajesh Khanna in the lead.

According to trade pundit Taran Adarsh, the film is picking up pace at the box office with good word of mouth and the performances of the actors, especially Akshaye Khanna.

The film has earned over Rs.16.05 crore at the box office in three days. The daily breakdown of the figures of the film are: Friday: Rs.4.05, Saturday: Rs. 5.5 crore and Sunday: Rs.6.5 crore.

Despite a big clash at the box office, with Thor: Ragnarok, which earned more than Rs.9 crore on the opening day, and Golmaal Again‘s continuous supreme reign, the film had a decent start. The future prospects also look bright.

Ittefaq was released worlwide on November 3.
