Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan are busy working on their next untitled project with Imtiaz Ali. They are both working on what will perhaps be a sequel to the cult favourite film, Love Aaj Kal.
While fans are gushing over pictures of the duo going viral on the internet, most have missed that the maker of these films too was found trailing the mountainous region of Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh.
Imtiaz also shared a picture of himself on social media where he is seen atop a rock amidst a green mountainous setting. He also shared a quote from the Nobel Prize-winning writer, Rudyard Kipling to suggest the mood of the photograph.
He wrote: “And the last puff of the day-wind brought from the unseen villages the scent of damp wood-smoke, hot cakes, dripping undergrowth, and rotting pine-cones. That is the true smell of the Himalayas, and if once it creeps into the blood of a man, that man will at the last, forgetting all else, return to the hills to die.”
Imtiaz is reprising one of the all-time favourite romances of Bollywood with the Love Aaj Kal sequel. Interestingly, Sara’s father and actor Saif Ali Khan had played one of the leads in the 2009 romantic drama. Ten years after that hit film, his daughter will essay the role of one of the leads.
Sara made her debut with Kedarnath and went on to reach new heights with Simmba. Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan’s recent films Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety and Luka Chuppi were great box-office hits.
After Sara accepted that she had a major crush on Kartik Aaryan on the popular chat show Koffee with Karan, fans and audiences expressed their desire to see the duo in a film together.
Coincidentally, the Imtiaz Ali’s directorial will see the two of them playing characters romantically involved with another.
