Nikaah means marriage and halala means to make lawful again a marriage that becomes unlawful after a triple talaq. In the context of marriage, it means a divorced woman can remarry her former husband after she becomes halal (lawful) for her husband again after undergoing nikah halala.
The practice, followed by certain sects of Sunni Muslims, involves a divorced woman marrying someone else and consummating it and then getting a divorce from him in order to remarry her previous husband.
The series will release on 29 March 2019. It stars Shafaq Naaz, Ravi Bhatia, Ejaz Khan, Neelima Azeem and Deepika Singh Goyal in key roles.
