‘Golmaal Again’ becomes first Hindi film of 2017 to enter the 200-crore club

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again becomes the first and only entrant of the prestigious 200-crore club in 2017.

Golmaal Again, which released on October 20, has grossed Rs.200 crore at the box office it seems that the film will continue to reign supreme in its fifth week as well.

On Sunday (November 12), The film collected Rs.1.69 crore. Despite many new releases, the film has managed to stay strong.

Golmaal Again has set multiple records at the box office.

The film had the highest opening day in 2017, and became the fastest Hindi film to gross Rs. 100 crore in just 4 days.

Now the film has become the highest Bollywood grossing film of 2017, with a total collection of Rs.201.43 crore.

Baahubali 2 was the first multilingual film to cross Rs. 200 crore mark in 2017.

The film, which features an ensemble cast, marks Rohit Shetty’s second entry in the 200-crore club after Chennai Express, and Ajay Devgn’s first official entry into the elite club with the likes of Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan.

The constant steady performance of the film might just add more bucks to the film’s account.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Golmaal Again is the fourth installment of the popular franchise.
