They are back with a bang with double madness and promises the audience a hilarious roller coaster ride with their sequel, Fukrey Returns.
The team of the film, including Pulkit Samrat, Richa Chadha, Manjot Singh and Varun Sharma, was in New Delhi and they talked to the thestatesman.com about their five years of friendship. It was clear from the conversation that the co-stars are a well-knit gang since there union in the first part of the film.
“I think in all these years our friendship and bonding have grown. We have been visiting each other’s place for dinner and lunch; only Manjot hasn’t invited us so far. Jokes apart, We didn’t feel like that we were shooting for a film, it was more like we were hanging out with each other while the cameras are rolling,” Richa said.
Manjot aka Lali believes that the makers of the film pampered them a lot on the sets.
“Excel Entertainment pampered us a lot on the sets. Everything was made available on the sets. There was excitement among all of us to meet, act and hangout during the shoot of the film,” Manjot added.
The captain of the Fukrey Gang — Pulkit Samrat — is thankful to the director, who he considers a ‘fukra’ as well, for all the fun and bringing them together again.
“We are not just co-stars, we have been a gang from the day one. And the major role in that is of our director, who is himself a ‘fukra’. He brought a comfort level for all of us. It never felt like we were working, we did a lot of fun while the cameras were rolling,” Pulkit explained.
Choocha aka Varun Sharma, who’ll be making everyone laugh off their seats with his DejaChu, agrees with Hunny Bhai. “Obviously, we have always been a gang. It has been five years of our friendship. And I think that our real friendship can also be seen in the film, which will enjoyed by the fans. It’s like real life has an impact in reel life and vice versa,” Varun added.
Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. Fukrey Returns will release worldwide on December 8.
