Actress Jannat Zubair Rahmani, known for essaying the role of Pankti in “Tu Aashiquii”, is on cloud nine as the daily soap has found a spot in the top five shows in India.
According to the Broadcast Audience Research Council India’s ratings, the Colors musical romance drama, which premiered in September, now features in the top five shows for the week gone by, read a statement.
“I am elated with the success of the show and that all our hard work is paying off. It has been receiving a lot of appreciation right from the launch of the show and has been growing ever since. Entering in the top five shows is a big achievement for all of us,” Jannat said in a statement.
The show narrates the life of once-debauched rockstar, Ahaan (Ritvik Arora), who finally finds his sole purpose in life, all thanks to Pankti. He gets a shock when he finds out that the love of his life has always been used by a rich man, who happens to be Ahaan’s uncle.
Ritvik said: “‘Tu Aashiquii’ is my first show and I feel extremely blessed to be a part of it. It’s amazing to see people appreciate the story and concept of our show. Good ratings give us motivation to work harder and attain our true potential.”
