Another song from Dream Girl is out. Featuring the lead pair of the film, Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrat Bharucha, “Ik Mulaqaat” has been sung by Altamash Faridi , Palak Muchhal and composed by Meet Bros.
The song has a very “Mere Rashke Qamar” style to it and showcases the development of romance between the lead pair of the film.
Ayushmann shared the song on his official Twitter handle on Tuesday and wrote, “A date to remember! #IkMulaqaat song out now…”
The song shows small town romance dwelling with each trying to impress the other with skills and looks. Ayushmann has the star-look a bit, but does look his part in places while Nushrat completely subsumes into the environment and set-up she is portraying in the song.
“Ik Mulaqaat” has been shot in busy bazaars, historical locations to give a perspective into the romance-setup of the film. The song opens with Ayushmann saying that he wants that their( his and Nushrat’s) electricity bill comes to one place while Nushrat responds in a tongue-in-cheek manner, that for that to happen, having a connection is important in the first place.
Dream Girl follows the story of Ayushamnn character’s Lokesh Bhatt, who speaks to people on an adult hotline for a living. Nushrat Bharucha plays his reel-girlfriend while Manjot Singh essays the role of his friend.
Annu Kapoor transcends from his role in Vicky Donor to play father to Ayushmann in this film.
Directed by Raaj Shaandilya and produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film is slated release on September 13.
