Diljit Dosanjh and Manoj Bajpayee will be collaborating for the first time in a family comedy titled Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari.
The Abhishek Sharma directorial will also feature Dangal girl Fatima Sana Shaikh.
Diljit shared the news on his official Instagram handle and wrote”EAM SOLID HAI BOSS 2020 ki sabse खरी भविष्यवाणी! आपकी मनोरंजक सेवा aur जनहित में जारी। अब पड़ेगा #SurajPeMangalBhari! With the very talented @bajpayee.manoj and @fatimasanashaikh. A @zeestudiosofficial production, directed by #AbhishekSharma. Film goes on floor on January 6, 2020.”
The Arjun Patiala star also shared a picture of the cast and the film’s director along with the entire cast and crew.
“Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari is a unique family comedy that draws humour from the quirks of its refreshing yet relatable characters. The world is set in the innocence of 1990s when there was no social media or mobile phones,” said Sharma in a statement, quotes news agency IANS.
“With awesome actors like Diljit, Manoj, Fatima, and a fantastic ensemble cast, I am sure we will be able to create an entertaining narrative for our family audience. I am proud and excited to be associated with Zee Studios’ first in-house production. It’s a start-to-finish schedule; we start shooting on January 6 till mid-March and release it before year-end,” he added.
Diljit is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming film Good Newwz on 27 December 2019.
He will be seen alongside Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani in the upcoming film.
On the other hand, Manoj Bajpayee was recently seen in Amazon Prime’s TV show The Family Man.
