Box Office: Vicky Kaushal’s Uri towers above other films

Vicky Kaushal starrer, Uri – The Surgical Strike, is simply unstoppable as the film has been witnessing an extraordinary run at the box office.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter on Saturday to share the latest collections of the film. “#UriTheSurgicalStrike is a force to reckon with at the BO… Remains the first choice of moviegoers, eclipsing the biz of all films [new and holdover titles]… Day 8 is almost at par with Day 1 … [Week 2] Fri 7.60 cr. Total: ₹ 78.54 cr. India biz. #Uri #HowsTheJosh,” the tweet read.

Within a span of three days, post the film’s release, Uri managed to recover its cost of Rs 28 crore, which indicates just how it is minting money and on its way to becoming a blockbuster.

Uri: The Surgical Strike is based on the surgical strikes which were carried out by the Indian Army in November 2016. Besides Vicky Kaushal, the film also features Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari, and debutante Mohit Raina. The film has been directed by Aditya Dhar and has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala.
