Vicky Kaushal-starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike is running high on ‘josh’ at the box office. The Aditya Dhar directorial film has been unstoppable since its release. Maintaining the graph, the film has managed to mint over Rs 50 crore within five days.
According to Box Office India, Uri, which has earned Rs 54.5 crore in the first week, “could do 67-68 crore nett but that will depend on the fall tomorrow as places like Gujarat and Rajasthan will probably see collections come down to normal levels.”
Uri has taken a strong lead at the box-office with a growing trend. Touted to be the first film of the year, it has been winning hearts emerging to be one of the first hit of 2019.
The film has also has been receiving immense appreciation from all quarters — right from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to the men in uniform, the audience and the members of Bollywood.
Uri: The Surgical Strike is based on the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Army in 2016. Besides Vicky Kaushal, the film also features Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari and debutant Mohit Raina.
